Cardiac CT Preparation

On the day of the exam:

• Do not consume any form of caffeine 12 hours prior to the study.
• Do not eat any solid foods 4 hours prior to the study.
• Do not consume any alcohol or nicotine products.
• Drink two 8 ounce glasses of water 1 hour before study.

Patients must discontinue the following 48hrs prior to exam:

• Viagra
• Cialis
• Levitra
• Other Phosphodiesterase inhibitor medications
• Certain diabetic medication may not be taken for 24 hours. Please discuss with our staff
